As the snowdrops begin to appear and there are early buds on the bushes and trees in Florence Park, we are delighted to offer some courses to support your health and wellbeing of head, heart and hands.

Winter Yarns – four week evening craft course

Crochet, knotting (macrame) spinning, weaving.
Come and join our Wednesday evening craft group. Learn new skills and meet new people. Do something non screen related. Support Flo’s. For our late winter series we are focussing on yarns and many ways of working them to create beautiful objects.
Beginners and all abilities welcome. Young people 12 and up welcome.

Learn to make gorgeous lavender hand cream and bath bombs…and take what you make home to treat yourself or a loved one.
Relax and enjoy your afternoon, whilst learning about handcare and hand massage.
Course cost includes a cream tea or healthy alternative from our lovely café The FLO.

Half Term- Learn to knit or crochet (includes a take home kit worth £21!)
19th February 1pm-4:30pmThis is a half day workshop for young people aged 8 to 15. Young people are welcome to bring an older family member to come and learn to knit or to crochet.
The workshop offers options for complete beginners as well as those who have just done a little knitting but want to improve and to start on a project such as knitted scarf or a crochet square. The course will be run by our staff and volunteers.

Routes to Resilience – a sense of place

Slow down, take stock, connect to nature and your sense of place. Re-set your sense of purpose and direction. We will share practices to strengthen and support our resilience, including spending time outside to connect to nature. Take home a ‘routes to resilience’ map and some useful mindful practices.
