How Flo’s is responding to Covid-19 virus.
19th March 2020
As the situation changes daily there have been some updates to Flo’s approach to Covid-19:
REFILL SHOP: as per message from 18th March, will remain open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 12.30-5pm. We have very little pasta in stock but hope to refill by next week!
NURSERY: The Government has announced that nurseries and schools will close from Friday for most children. This will also apply to Flo’s nursery. Children of key workers, and vulnerable children, will continue to receive childcare at the nursery. Parents have been contacted directly.
CAFE: The Flo Cafe will be open for takeaways, outside seating for food and drinks on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday 20th.The cafe will close on Saturday at 4pm for the next two weeks for refurbishment. Updates will follow about what happens thereafter but we currently are planning to open again, from April 4th, with a takeaway and delivery service.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT: From today onwards, the community play space will also not be open to the public for drop in stay and play. We are working to identify other ways that we can support parents at this challenging time. We are also working with other local charities and partners to identify the best way we can support those most at risk. There will be staff at Flo’s during refill shop opening times – Saturday and Wednesday afternoons – and at some other times. We will also pick up email and phone messages.
MIDWIVES: The midwives are currently still offering clinics but we await further guidance. We are exploring ways to make waiting areas as safe as possible. Please call 01865 779284 to gain further advice.
COURSES: We are postponing the Fermenting Workshop in March and will contact those with tickets about alternative date or refund.
ROOM HIRE: room hire has mostly stopped at Flo’s to comply with government guidance. Please contact us here if you have a room booking. We are open to direct contacts about use of our hire spaces for community purposes to support people during the crises. Please email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
We welcome your support and info about how we can best serve our community.
Many thanks and keep safe and well.
