Refill Shop Volunteer

Flo’s the Place in the Park is a welcoming hub for people from all backgrounds to meet, work, play, learn and eat. Our refill shop provides people with the chance to shop locally and plastic free, supporting the local economy and reducing waste.

We are looking for people who would like to volunteer in the refill shop to support Flo’s and the local economy. Its a great way to get voluntary experience, be part of a community and learn more about plastic waste and shop keeping.

You will get a free drink or cake on every shift.

Volunteering slots are:

11am-2pm or 2pm-5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

We ask that you volunteer for a minimum of 3hrs per week or, as often as is possible for you.

Gardening Volunteers

We run two regular gardening groups here at Flo’s – The Place in the Park

Flo’s Garden group

When: Each Friday (10 -12)

Where: Flo’s – The Place in the Park

What: This group works to maintain and improve the green spaces here at Flo’s. Jobs include general garden maintenance, planting, pruning as well as creating and maintaining garden structures. The group is led by our Gardener, Clare. A hot drink and snack is included for each volunteer.

Florence Park Flower Power park gardening group

When: Each Wednesday (10 – 12 and 2 – 4)

Where: Meeting at Flo’s – The Place in the Park

What: This group works to maintain and improve the flower beds and borders in Florence Park. As part of a community of local groups working on difference spaces across the park, we support the maintenance of the gardens and improve the local environment for all to enjoy.
