As part of our mission to bring people together, and also to raise funds to run the centre through the local economy, Flo’s puts on a whole host of events every year. We always need helpers to enable these to run smoothly- for setting up, helping on the day and setting down.
Events volunteers sign up to hear about our upcoming events and then commit to the times they can come along. Bonus is that you get to attend the event for free (could be anything from a children’s event to a musical gig).
*upcoming events include
7th of March: Ukulele Gig with Maeve Bayton and the Slow Wednesdays (5pm-7pm and 7pm-10pm)
31st of Mach: Cafe spring clean- as the cafe prepares to re-open we need all hands on deck. (5pm-7pm)
Want to get involved? email us on: firstname.lastname@example.org
Be a Poster-Pal volunteer:
Flo’s has loads going on, but as a new project we need to work hard to get the word out. If you can help by putting up a poster in one or two places every fortnight, that would be VERY helpful.
If you can help, please let us know on: email@example.com
SHARE LIBRARY volunteers
Every Wednesday afternoon, to coincide with the Refill Shop, The Oxford Share library have started setting up a *pop up* at Flo’s- enabling people to borrow items and things- like tools, camping equipment and lots more instead of having to buy them. They are looking for a volunteer to help with Wednesdays afternoons from 12pm-3pm to run the pop up in East Oxford. Read more about the role here: Library of Things volunteer at Flo’s To apply email Maurice on: firstname.lastname@example.org
