Friend of Flo’s
Flo’s the Place in the Park is a welcoming hub for people from all backgrounds to meet, work, play, learn and eat. We host lots of community activities and outreach work with a social impact, as well as social enterprises including a cafe, refill shop and nature-based nursery. We host host the NHS midwives and many community groups who use our space.
We are looking for people passionate about community connections to join us a “Friend of Flo’s”. This will include welcoming people to Flo’s, directing people to the services we have on offer, helping shop customers and supporting in the cafe as needed. You will get 30% off food and 1 free drink on every shift.
Volunteering slots are:
11am-2pm or 2pm-5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or 5pm-7pm on Friday.
We ask that you volunteer for a minimum of 3hrs per week as often as possible.

Volunteering with Children/Family activities at Flo’s:
At Flo’s we run activities and groups for children under 5 and their families. We are committed to reaching lots of families in OX4 to support language development and outdoor/ nature play and creativity. We would love to have you join us as a regular volunteer to work alongside our Community & Families Worker to help us run these sessions! At the moment we are looking for volunteers to help with:
- Thursdays from 1pm- 3pm “NatureCrafts”.
- Thursdays from 10am-11:30am “StoryExplorers with Fern the Fox”
- Ad-hoc events on weekends where need some additional support.
- Grandparents Group (once a month on Friday mornings)
- Dad’s Group
