Flo’s Refill Shop was opened in June 2019. It was established to provide a place where local people can shop for essentials whilst supporting the reduction of waste by encouraging the use of reusable containers instead of pre-packaged supermarket products. Our desire to provide this service is underpinned by our core belief in, and pursuit of, a circular economy in Oxford. 

As well as providing a place to shop sustainably, Flo’s Refill Shop has always offered a safe, supportive place for those who wish to volunteer but who may face barriers to traditional employment or volunteer opportunities. Our staff support our volunteers to develop skills and confidence and we have been delighted to see a number of volunteers go on to fulfilling work elsewhere having spent time with us. 

Drop and Collect Service

If you’re short on time we offer a drop and collect service. Here’s how it works:

• Drop off the containers you want filled, with our Shop Manager or Volunteer at Flo’s Refill Shop.
• Make sure your containers are clearly labelled with what you want refilled Chat with our staff if you’re unsure or have questions.
• Agree a time to return to Flo’s Refill Shop to collect your goods.
• Your items will be ready for you. WE will scan at our till and you can make payment when you pick them up.

What do we stock?

We sell unpackaged staple foods from Infinity Foods and SESI refill detergents . Our refillable products are sold by weight or volume, which means you only pay for exactly what you want. We also stock bread from Cornfield bakery, an independent, family-run wholesale business, and free-range eggs from Mayfield farm, an Oxfordshire farming family committed to providing the best care possible for their hens.

Alongside our food, personal hygiene and household cleaning products we have expanded our offering in 2025 to  include a number of homewares, accessories, greetings cards, gifts, jewellery and clothing , all sourced with sustainability and ethical consumer practices in mind.
