Laura
Laura has worked in Oxfordshire’s voluntary sector for her whole career and has an array of experience across education, youth and community, creative industries and wellbeing.
She has enjoyed a variety of roles as a community facilitator, project manager, events manager and founder of two start up organisations. She lives locally with her partner and two young children who love to visit Flo’s on their park outings.

Madhur
Madhur oversees the day-to-day coordination of the partnership. This includes managing internal and external communications, facilitating monthly meetings, representing the partnership at events, and helping partners collect and report data for projects.
Niki
Niki has worked as a school teacher and across third sector organisations from grassroots charities to large funders. She oversees fundraising and communications for the OX4 Food Crew.
Elita (Maternity Leave)
Elita has a background in education, early years and health care. She is really excited about her new role as a maternity advocate. She is looking forward to working with and supporting women through their pregnancy and, during their transition to motherhood.
Millie
Millie joined the team in September 2024 as maternity advocate alongside Adelia and Elita.
Millie comes with experience from her work in community engagement with AFIUK where she supports migrants in accessing services in health, education and social care. She is very excited and looking forward to supporting women in their pregnancies and transition into motherhood.
Adelia
Adelia initially joined the project in April 2023 as a Tetum interpreter for monthly clinics and weekly drop-in sessions at Flo’s. Now, in her role as Maternity Advocate, Adelia handles casework supporting East Timorese families in OX4 to navigate housing, immigration, benefits, and other challenges. She also works with the community midwives, facilitating accessible in-person antenatal classes and leading a weekly support group for East Timorese mothers near Cowley Centre.
Jessica
Jessica joined Flo’s in September 2024 as Project Administration & Communications Lead, alongside Madhur. She works at the Equal Start team on admin, communications, and community outreach projects.

Tanja
Tanja has over 20 years’ experience working in Early Years in a wide range of settings including nurseries, pre-schools, children’s centres and in primary education. Tanja holds a BA in Early Years Education and is a qualified Forest School Leader. Tanja loves going for long woodland walks, felting, doing woodwork and ‘tinkering’ and is passionate about sharing her deep love of the natural world with all children (and adults!).
Del
Del has a childcare Level 3 qualification and over 20 years experience working with children in different settings, pre-schools, after school clubs, playschemes and many nursery settings. Working at Flo’s provides Del with ‘the opportunity to continue my passion to teach young children to flourish and grow’. Del has a passion for recycling furniture, painting and decorating and going for long walks.

Ruth
Ruth is Flo’s Finance Manager. She has over ten years experience of bookkeeping and finance management in small charities and community organisations. She lives in Oxford and enjoys growing and eating local food!

Rebecca
Becca brings over a decades worth of experience in fundraising and charity work. She is responsible for Flo‘s Communications as well as looking at ways we can continue to develop our services. She is also responsible for fundraising at Flo’s. Becca also works locally as a birth Doula.

Alex has a passion for charities and outdoor community spaces. He is also experienced in computer, tech and video. He graduated from Portsmouth University and recently worked at Oxford Botanic Garden.

Sarah Borien
Sarah has 11 years experience working in social impact, equality and sustainability roles for large, complex organisations. More recently she has become Business Manager at Network Rail, overseeing strategy development and governance for a wide portfolio of work. Sarah was born and raised in Oxford, and returned to Cowley in 2020.
Julian Cottee
Julian is a consultant in environmental sustainability strategy and innovation. He previously worked at Saïd Business School and was co-founder of local social enterprise Cultivate, and Oxford’s sustainable food network Good Food Oxford.
Hannah Ormston
Hannah is the Audit Director at Critchleys in central Oxford. She manages the audit team and also looks after an audit portfolio of clients in both the corporate and charity sector. This portfolio includes both national and local charities. Before joining Critchleys Hannah worked in audit for EY for five years and prior to that she was working for the Audit Commission.
Laura White
Laura is a consultant in education, health, and social enterprise. Prior to moving to Oxford to obtain her MBA at the Said Business School, Laura taught children ages 1 to 5 in early intervention and school settings. Laura has held leadership roles in early childhood social ventures and holds a master’s degree in early childhood special education.
Jo Boyes
Jo has lived in Florence Park for 25 years and following many years working in London marketing retail and catering businesses, since Covid Jo has enjoyed getting to know her local neighbourhood again. She now works at the University of Oxford Botanic Garden coordinating commercial activity.
Gordon Mitchell
Gordon now lives in Oxford and has championed issues for the city and county in recent years as CEO of the city council and through creating and developing key partnerships. He has always been focused on community empowerment, equalities and engagement. His range of experience includes volunteering, board level leadership in multiple councils and other public sector organisations, running his own consultancy company and roles in a number of early stage social enterprises.
Mariam Iqbal
Mariam has a background in business, science and healthcare. Currently working in CAHMS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), Mariam is passionate about reducing healthcare access inequalities, quality improvement and promoting good wellbeing practices in the work place. Aside from work, Mariam has an interest in early years child development.
Russell Stebbings
Russell is the Managing Director of Frilford Heath Golf Club and has over 23 years’ experience working in hospitality and leisure. He has a passion for people, nature, hospitality and sports. Russell has built a career focused on helping organisations to build strong teams aligned behind a shared purpose to achieve sustainable and commercial success.
Samantha Adams
Samantha has 14 years‘ experience in Human Resources as well as previous experience in recruitment and retail management. Samantha has worked for the University of Oxford and currently works as an HR Advisor for one the colleges in north Oxford with a key focus on mental health and well being. Samantha relocated to Oxford from London 19 years ago and has always lived in the Cowley area and more recently lives close to Florence park.
Claire Gray
Claire brings diverse experience from the last 12 years working across the charity, academic and local authority sectors. Leading, designing and using whole system approaches to improve individuals and communities health and wellbeing. She has a continued commitment to tackling inequalities and working in partnership. Her current position is at Oxfordshire County Council in the Public Health team.
Ella Percival
Ella has worked in Communications for a multinational education and research publisher based in Oxford for almost 10 years. She is driven by working with organisations with a clear mission and helping to create inclusive and empowering spaces. Ella lived in Cowley for 8 years and now lives in Didcot, but with regular visits back to her favourite part of Oxford.
Founders and Consultants
Candida March
Original Chair of Flo’s campaign and then of Flo’s Community Benefit Society, namely People, Place and Participation Ltd. Candida was Chair for the campaign and then creation of Flo’s, as well as the first two years of its running. She was also interim Director for 9 months. Candy is an experienced Director and coach who has governance experience as Executive Director, Chair and member of a variety of Boards of small medium organisations including NGOs and social enterprises. She co-founded Metro Safety Group and UKNAR CIC as well as PPP.
Expertise: governance, chairing Boards, leadership development, co-founding organisations, overseeing change.
Annie Davy
Founder member of PPP and Flo’s Trading and original project vision holder, coordinator and strategic consultant. Annie worked across Flo’s Board and management team building and co-creating services over the first 5 years of Flo’s. She has founded several other successful and still thriving community businesses.
